Though at present it's hardly possible to find someone who wants to buy a radio receiver, from time to time new models of this device appear. It may seem that radio receivers represent yesterday's technology, yet some of the innovative designs still help them to attract customers' attention. One of such concepts was recently created by a Korean designer who thinks that the structure of a usual radio receiver should be significantly changed. Thus his concept represents quite an unusual approach to the structure of the radio and the way it's used as well. Given gadget has no dials or buttons, because it uses scales instead. So just by placing stones on either side of the scales, you can have organic control over the radio. It's understandable that while creating given device the principle designer's objective wasn't to make something really functional, but different and original. That's why this gadget has no additional functions, except for listening to the radio.
Though it was a nice idea to create such kind of device, there are a few points that may really disappoint some of the customers. The first problem consists in the fact that you can change the volume or the frequency just by using stones. So can you imagine how many stones you would have to put on this concept to get the right volume? Another point is that its dimensions are big enough in comparison with other modern devices, i.e. it will occupy a lot of space; moreover you will also need some space for the stones. However, in spite of that, I think that this gadget has a fair chance to return partially the popularity to the radio receivers.
