T-Moble use Google Android OS for Home Devices

Apr 06, 2009
T-Mobile will debut with two new devices running on the Google’s mobile operating system next year. That’s home phone and a tablet computer powered by Google Android system.

Android is a software platform and operating system for mobile devices. It is based on the Linux kernel and is developed by Google. Android allows developers to write managed code in the Java language.

T-Mobile’s home phone would be plugged into a docking station. Also it would come with device used to synchronize data. The tablet computer will feature a seven-inch touchscreen and won’t have any physical keyboard.

First Google Android phone was the T-Mobile G1. Google’s mobile operation system gained consumers traction and now the first wireless carrier want to lunch T-Mobile G2.

Samsung’s offer to work with Android was delayed by Google. But Samsung is set to start several new Google projects. The first one coming out in June. Motorola already started production of Android phone. An expected launch date is in October.
