The new Sharp mobile phone is touted to be the first water resistant mobile phone being operated on solar power. There is a special solar panel fitted in, being capable to provide up to 80% of the total battery’s capacity while giving you a one minute call or two hours of stand by time after ten minutes of direct sun light. The groundbreaking mobile phone was developed by Sharp in tandem with Japanese network KDDI. The Solar Ketai is expected to have a price tag ranging from about USD $ 420 to $ 630 to be available in June.
