We have recently got you acquainted with solar-powered phone that will come to market soon, but the sun power still interests designers. Being the source of cheap energy it is preferable especially because it is environmentally friendly. Inventions based on solar power are important because summer approaches and gadgets that will make this season are created more frequently now. Finnish designer Pekka Salokannel proposed a new device that will enable users to listen to music the whole day charging the speakers by solar power. These solar-powered speakers are similar to old gramophones’ horn and their name – Gramo – comes from here. The speakers are covered with three layers of photovoltaic panels. Additionally, they can be used with computers, notebooks, iPods, and iPhones. So, if you decide to have a party at beach, these speakers will be a great solution. Moreover, it has an internal built-in battery pack which gathers sun power during daytime and enables to listen to music even after the sunset. Also you can change the volume range using soft-touch controls on the speakers.
However, these are not the only advantages of the speakers. If you want to go somewhere, you can take the speakers with you for they are foldable and become flat after being folded and easily fit your pocket. Unfortunately, the speakers are not produced yet, but maybe, in the nearest future we will be able to buy them.
