There is no doubt that everybody wants to have a cell phone, which would be resistant to any damage. Because of this a lot of different devices made of durable materials (titanium, gold and etc) were produced. Yet producers are still trying to find different ways to solve this problem. One of the concepts was offered by Robert Hayes and Johan Feenstra. According to their innovative approach to the cell phone production new devices should be very flexible; they think that this will significantly prolong cell phones' useful time. To do so they are going to make these cell phones of new polymer that can easily change its shape. Thus, you will be able to do everything you want with this gadget or almost everything. For example, you can throw, drop or even sit down on it. This device will look like a small bag made of dense material that is filled with a kind of liquid. The display, which will have the resolution of 433 × 266 pixels, will change its shape too. Developers insist that this gadget will have quite a high frame rate, enabling watching video clips and movies.
As far as consumers are concerned I think that a significant amount of them will want to possess such an original cell phone. However, its flexibility may be considered by some people as a disadvantage, because it will be probably quite an unusual feeling to speak over such a "soft" cell phone.
