Chinese manufacturers are widely known for their inclination to copying famous brands and faking them. People were shocked when Nokla phones were sold instead of Nokia, and some of the less advanced users didn't even notice that they are using fakes. Internet is full of images and photos of different fakes from the Chinese so-called "brands", with very creative names: from well-known Nokla and Sany Ericssan to Nokir and HiPhone. Verizon Wireless has announced availability of two new Samsung messaging phones. The cheaper model is Samsung Intensity. This one is a straight forward messenger with a sliding side full QWERTY, 1.3 megapixel cam, web and IM capabilities and 29.99 bucks on the tag. The other one, Samsung Rogue is a whole different mobile phone however. The only thing it has in common with Intensity is a keyboard. Everything else is from a completely different division.

Acer has finally announced global availability of their top range F900 smartphone. We had to wait for quite a long time since the first day of MWC back in the middle of February 2009 when Acer has officially announced their future smartphone range including DX900, X960, M900 and, of course, the F900. At those times we were thinking of its software features (almost all hardware specifications were announced without delay), pricing and competitors. Now we can comment on mostly everything about it.

Thus, those people who are bored with all the camera phones and smartphones can choose this gadget in case they want to use something simple and unusual. Moreover, it will be probably sold at quite a reasonable price.

While laptops have their own normal keyboard it is strange that you would need a keyboard like this, but it can be useful for all those smartphones and PDAs, which lack hardware keyboard.The keyboard in front makes them look stupid and geeky.

I congratulate you, all smartphone lovers, with today's MWC grand opening. Only three days of non-stopping mobile phone premieres from world's best brands and, of course, ambitious newcomers in the field. Here is an interesting contender. Acer for years was developing computer gear and now they are after cell phone market cut. Four presented devices, DX900, X960, F900 and M900, are touch screens running Windows Mobile 6.1, but basing on specs they will not necesserely be in the same price category. The question now is when and where Acer will put the handsets for sale first - in Asia or in Europe?

Following the news about iPhone 3.0 firmware, we have recently found out that highly anticipated Android OS will also be refined to 1.5 version in the closest time. The 3.0 OS from Apple is the final solution for iPhone 3G because all-in-all it is clear that there will be next gen device sooner or later. So the latest release is nothing but a final chord in my view which of course is good to have in betweens. No conceptually new features therefore. The upcoming Android 1.5 is different however. Very young but very grown-up at the same time platform is after diametrically opposite results.

Today the official T-Mobile UK's Twitter account was updated with some very interesting piece of information. The tweet mentioned a new Android phone, a second in the range of Android devices. Basically, T-Mobile UK only disclosed that its name will be G1 Touch and promised more info in closest time.
