Samsung starts mass production of 46-inch transparent LCD panels

Samsung Electronics has announced the start of mass production of 46-inch transparent LCD panels. Production of 22-inch LCD panels has already been established in April of last year.


46-inch panels are characterized by a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, contrast ratio of 4500:1 and covers 70% of the color space. Samsung develop a high degree of transparency and low power consumption.


Senior Vice President, Samsung LCD Device Solutions Younghwan Park believes that new technology has the potential to change our view on displays in the next few years.
