Samsung tells Australian Apple Store workers to “Wake Up”

May 04, 2012

Samsung’s ways of advertising their products are becoming very strange and provoking lately. They have started with an ad which takes place near an Apple Store, now they’ve staged a live protest right in front of a working Apple Store in Australia.

In the middle of a working day Samsung sent a bus load of protesters and then had them chant ‘Wake Up’ outside the store while brandishing some ‘Wake Up signs’. Why “wake up”? Were they trying to wake the staff? I really don’t have any idea how this ad campaign would increase Galaxy sales but it sure is confusing. You should see the video made by an Australian reporter and witness of the event.

RIM has admitted that they are responsible for the campaign.
