Boeing to market S-100 Camcopter to live up to aerial expectations

Boeing in tandem with Austrian company Schiebel Industries combined their efforts to promote and support this marvelous unmanned aerial vehicle. Named the S-100 Camcopter, this remote controlled chopper is capable of carrying a vast range of payloads like stabilized video system and can be used for military reasons.

The vertical take off and landing of the helicopter is programmable through a special software interface while easily operated by means of a joystick. The S-100 Camcopter is engineered to be able to carry up to 50 kg while conventional configuration of the chopper is able to carry twice as least for up to 6 hours and a speed of 100 knots.

This compact aerial vehicle is able to fly under severe weather conditions and even outside the visibility range with data link range amounting to 200 km and the maximum height of 5500 meters. The fuselage of the chopper is made of carbon-fiber monocoque while daylight ability including infrared cameras facilitates its navigation.

The flight range can be different and ranges from 80 to 130 kilometers depending on the payload while navigation is ensured through the GPS receivers so minimum operator training is guaranteed. This aerial vehicle runs on 55 horsepower engine and measures 1,042 mm in height, 3,091 mm in length and 1,238 mm in width.
