The new generation Nintendo Wii console has just been announced. The Wii U will hit the shelves at the end of 2012. The news was confirmed by the President of Nintendo, Satuoru Iwata.
No particular information was given; all we know at the moment is a little of specs: the device will be equipped with an IBM Power based multi-core processor and it will also feature an AMD Radeon based high definition graphics processor. The device will come with a touchscreen controller with a 6.2 inch touchscreen display. Seems like Nintendo is continuing their concept of a “dual screen” gameplay, only now it’s a stationary console.
So, that’s all we managed to get about the device. As soon as there will be a precise release date, we’ll let you know.
