Are you able to say what this Multi Mode Vehicle is like? This promising Multi Mode Vehicle is a stunning combination of motor bike and airplane. We are flying in our dreams but can we really one day fly our cars. Samson Motorworks are creating its 3 wheeled flying motorcycle.

What would you expect of future in the next generation if not flying cars? Being still under construction, this futuristic miracle christened the Skybike uses a telescoping wing design as well as the Switchblade with clippers wing design in order to pull back the wings. Samson Motorworks do know about what the future will bring us?

The multi mode vehicle has a canard design with tail plane at the front and the main wing at the back. Due to multi mode vehicle’s layout, the center of its weight is concentrated at the low and rear positions, preventing the multi mode vehicle from overturning while running on the ground and making it possible to ensure a high stability while in the air.

Its design is also good for making sure the pilot’s high level of safety. This wonderful dual purpose vehicle is expected to fly high up to 10 000 foot above sea level. Being a light weight construction, the multi mode vehicle still meets the safety requirements.

Skybike and Switchblade both come with some useful features like heating and air conditioning. In addition, there is video displayed rear view screen, dual ground and air systems, stereo CD player with MP3 compatibility.

Speaking about safety options, there is a frontal collision shock absorber as well as side collision door protection and its masterpiece safety feature is ballistic chute recovery system. Its motorcycle engines as well as transmissions are refined to give reverse and power to the propellers in order to have sufficient emission controls.

The Switchblade is going to be powered by a 120 horsepower Freedom Motor duel rotor engine being capable to propel this startling multi mode vehicle to more than 90 miles per hour while running on the ground and 134 miles per hour while flying in the air.

Being run on unleaded gasoline with fuel efficiency to be expected of 60 miles per gallon for ground running and 22 miles per gallon for air travel, the Switchblade 16 gallon fuel capacity is good enough for a range of 880 miles while on the ground and 340 miles while in the air.

The Switchblade will feature a glass cockpit, lightning protection, back-up air speed, front and rear disc brakes, ignition and battery systems, emergency location transmitter, altimeter, altitude system, navigation radio as well as ballistic chute recovery system for safety reasons. Additionally, there will be XM radio and weather system, heated windshield.

The SkyBike is engineered to be capable of reaching its top speed of 80 miles per hour while traveling on the ground and over 130 miles per hour while air travel. SkyBike will incorporate smart electronic main panel to be capable of changing automatically depending on whether you are flying or running.

The SkyBike also features twin ground and air lighting system, emergency location transmitter as well as emergency location transmitter. Its leather seating is designed for two persons while luggage capacity is 50 pounds.

There is not any word about how much these flying motorcycles are going to cost you, but Samson Motorworks expects to have ground vehicles available in early 2010.
