Motorola Droid RAZR is only 7.1 mm thick

Motorola Mobility officially announced Motorola Droid RAZR smartphone, formerly known under the symbol Spyder (the U.S. unit will be called the Motorola Droid RAZR).


New flagship smartphone from Motorola was given "RAZR" name remembering very thing older models they were making years ago. The thickness of the device does not exceed 7.1 mm.

To ensure necessary body toughness they made its body of steel. The rear is reinforced with Kevlar fibers, and the screen is protected by tempered Corning Gorilla Glass.

Droid RAZR also features Super AMOLED display which has a 4.3 " diagonal and qHD resolution (540 x 960 pixels).

It is based on a dual-core processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz running Google Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread). The configuration includes 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of flash memory, 1.3 MP front camera and 8 rear camera with LED flash and can shoot full HD video. You can expand the memory with a microSD cards (a 16 GB one will be included in the kit). In addition it features 4G LTE support (as modified for the U.S.), aGPS and eCompass, wireless interfaces Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n and Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI and USB 2.0. Battery has 1780 mAh capacity. The device is compatible with Motorola Lapdock 500 Pro and Lapdock 100 docking stations.

Deliveries of new Motorola Droid RAZR will begin in November. Price in the U.S. with a two year contract will be $ 299.
