Designed by student team from Bradley University, this all-electric car appears to be a street legal replica. Called, the Micro Electric Urban Vehicle, this pretty nice looking vehicle turns out to be ecologically friendly model which is a nice solution to ever rising cost of fossil fuel as well as to a better environment. Running on green fuel, this smart car sets a new clean energy trend which is perfect for urban commuting.The Micro Electric Urban Vehicle is capable of reaching a top speed of about 65 miles per hour thanks to its light weight bodywork. This zero-emission model has regenerative braking abilities making it possible to recharge the on board batteries using the power produced during braking. This environmentally conscious vehicle runs on an Interstate SLA1161 lead-acid battery to produce 44Ah at 12V to power its D&D Separately Excited 24-48V DC engine.
The Micro Electric Urban Vehicle is operated by twin wheel chain drive to be able to transport a weight of 300 lbs. So this compact car is capable of carrying 2 passengers while its driving range is good enough for a regular urban commuting. The Micro Electric Urban Vehicle features safety equipment and is able to display information from the engine controller and sensors.
The displayed data includes speed, throttle position, power in watts, battery voltage and current, controller temperature, distance traveled along with time.
