KDDI is very well-known wireless provider in Japan. Now KDDI starts its second solar-powered cell phone - the SH002 built by Sharp. The handset has a built-in solar panel. Just turn the SH002s back side to the sun and after 2 hours the handset will be charged for 140 minutes in standby mode. The charging efficiency is shown on a 1.1-inch display. Also the handset is water resistant.The SH002 has a 3-inch main display that works at 480x854 resolution. You can make photos using 5-megapixel built-in camera. The camera is also supports image stabilization and autofocus. The handsets memory ability is not so high. It supports only up to 2GB microSD memory cards. Connection to the world is provided by Wi-Fi and integrated 1Seg TV tuner.
And this is not all. The SH002 can work as your own fitness master. It has an Au Smart Sports for Fitness software installed. The program uses a pedometer which is connected via Bluetooth to show how many calories are burned.
The SH002 would be available in pink, blue and white colors. It is expected in June 24th in Japan. The price of the handset is not officially announced.
