Padfone - a hybrid of smartphone and tablet ASUS have announced one of the most interesting and perhaps most controversial of their devices on Taipei exhibition. The new hybrid of Tablet PC and Smartphone, received its name Padfone. The company does not disclose a complete list of product specifications, but the principle of this gadget is pretty clear. Padfone - a composite device consisting of a full-fledged smartphone, and a kind of docking station made in form Tablet PC.

LG is introducing its first one-piece PC c technology FPR - V300 LG Electronics will present its first one-piece computer with innovative Film-type Patterned Retarder (FPR) technology, already used in CINEMA 3D and 3D-series monitors D41P and D42P. Computer LG V300, developed in collaboration with Intel, will be shown at Computex-2011 in Taipei (Taiwan). It is reported that 23 inch Full HD 3D-touch monitor with LED backlight provides vivid and detailed 3D-images with less noise and less screen flicker.

The source is also reporting that changes in future model will be just as small as changes in the name: minor exterior changes, new platform (processor A5) and support for HSPA +. Misek also said that there will be no support for LTE in the new model, as appropriate Qualcomm chipsets do not yet meet the requirements of Apple.

Current iMac, or rather previous one because it has already stopped shipping, has reached the end of standard one year lifecycle and there sure will be an update to it any time soon. In fact, the time of the iMac lineup update is less clear unlike its specs which have partly been leaked or are easily estimated with a high degree of probability.

Epson Endeavor NP15 Desktops really are on their way out. Yearly studies show that portion of desktops sold declines every year compared to notebooks, all-in-ones, nettops and now tablets. All-in-ones and nettops is where many former desktop users go who know they dont need mobility, so we really see a lot more of this form-factor machines coming out these days. Epson, in computer terms, has forever had a nettop lineup which the company has recently updated. The new Epson Endeavor NP15 is an Intel Atom-based machine. We are not speaking performance here, but the yet fresh processor and DDR3 memory are huge improvement to what most nettops could offer about a year ago. Just remember that you have to bring your own optical drive, wireless LAN adapters, sound system, peripheral, cookies and milk. Epson Endeavor NP15 is announced in Japan for price equivalent to $360. Lenovo ThinkPad X220 Tablet As we previously ensured you, Lenovo sticks to the fashion of releasing new and exciting machines based on Intels Sandy Bridge platform this spring. In March we covered a splash of mobile workstations and Edges coming out, some of the Lenovo newcomers were missed by our coverage, but anyway, we now have something else to look at. The new X Series ThinkPads include a classic notebook and its tablet incarnation. By the tablet I mean of course (or rather Lenovo does) a tilting in all directions multitouch display a price tag with extra 50% of laptops price added to it. As always, Lenovo offers wide customization possibilities, namely Core i-processes of all families, tons of RAM, SSDs and USB 3.0. The display resolution however is locked at 1 366 × 786 and there are no discrete graphics available, but then the display is IPS and the latest X220s start well under a thousand dollars, so I guess everything is fair here. The new memory is designed for 1.2 V power supply, demonstrating the data transfer rate of 1066 Mbps. IEEE Standards Association has just plowed through and approved all the specifications WiMAX engineers could thow at them. The new 802.16m promises 1 Gbps in bright but yet very distant future. 300 Mbps however are more realistic to be available soon.
