Samsung i8910HD Gold As we all know, designing a successful smartphone nowadays takes much more effort than it used to even a year ago. This time last year we had no iPhone 3GS, no HTC Hero, not even a single proper image of Palm Pre. Android was just raising his green head and Nokia hasn't yet sold a million of 5800s. Despite all that and considering the fact that Christmas time sales craze should start very soon, managers at Samsung decided they can do without revamping hardware and adding more functionality to software but replace some body panels. Body panels in question are from Samsung i8910HD, also known as OmniaHD, and they are substituted by golden ones.

Budget Windows 7 laptops that you should choose from
Nov 23, 2009
Windows 7 has been out for a month now and its sales are going very well. Analytics say most of Vista users would like to switch to the Seven if it is as good as they are told it is. But XP users, particularly on desktops, are a bit harder to convince even to try Windows 7 out. Set up and running rig with no or poor network will hardly benefit from HomeGroupe. Bare in mind stereotype that legacy hardware might not necessarily have proper performance (Windows XP FLP suddenly popped in my mind) and you might think Windows 7 will not give a new life to what has less than 1GB RAM and/or less than two processor cores. Not so. Amazingly rather than inevitably the new operating system is better than it's predecessors in the way of backward usability, the feeling that has grown cold in some since Vista's appearance. As for Vista drivers, they should probably be backwards compatible from Win7.

Google Chrome OS source code and VMWare version are available
Nov 20, 2009
Finally Chromium OS gets its source code opened and right today you can run the first rough version of the Google Chrome OS using VMWare. That's all great apart from poor compatibility and other childhood diseases which I'm sure Google will cure in about a year. They do actually point that out on their official blog. Reminds me a lot of this time last year when first rumors followed by first beta versions of Windows 7 started to come out. Anyway, the big news about Chrome OS is that everyone can lay their hands on it, plus a splash of facts and first test results.
