You know how people put a "Do Not Disturb" sign when they want to get some privacy? Or the other way to do that is to put a tie around their knob. These things work but if someone really wants to get in this will not be enough. Arnaud Lapierre has designed another gadget that would do a better job of ensuring a person's privacy.
Retracting Doorknob will ensure your privacy simple by not giving anybody a chance to open the door. It has a built in pulley system that allows the person inside retract the doorknob inside the door. It makes the door totally flat with nothing to pull.
The only thing they can doo then is to break the door and talk to police. Or course your night can be spoiled after that break in. This is why I would still prefer another method of keeping people out of my room: build the door out of a giant angry lion.
