FM Transmitter and Recharger for your iPod

Jun 09, 2007
Frustrated to look for that radio station that you like? Don't like the static and all other inconveniences that radio gives your? Just get an iPod FM transmitter made by Kensington and you will be able to listen to your favorite tunes in your car's speakers. This gadget will exclude all the static because it is situated right in your car and will let you listen to what you want to.

The FM transmitter can be connected to all the iPods out there, even the iPod Nano. So you will be able to listen to the music not only in car but on any device that has FM tuner. You just play the songs on the iPod and listen to them on the big speakers.

It is better than any iPod dock because they have limited possibilities. The speakers not too big or you just don't want to buy one. Buying the FM transmitter you choose where to play your music. And it is made in black and white colors in order to fit your black or white iPod.

There is also a nice function that I really liked. The QuickSearch function will allow you to find the best and the clearest signal quickly. This way you will not hear any static when listening to music from your iPod in the car.

The last but not the least is that the FM transmitter will also recharge your iPod while you enjoy music. Just plug it into the iPod and power it up from your car's lighter plug. It will also recharge all the devices that support mini USB recharging.

Here is a word of advise if you want to improve the performance of FM transmitters that use the headphone output, use a headphone amp between your audio device and your transmitter. It won't reduce static, but it does increase the volume of the headphone output. Since you won't have to turn your radio as loud to compensate for the low output of your audio device, the volume of the static relative to the volume of your music will be greatly improved. It will also allow you to reduce background hiss created by needing to turn up the volume on your radio because of the typically low output of your audio device (whether at home or in your car, but certainly more noticeable at home). As a final benefit, you can reduce the volume output of your iPod and extend battery life. THat's what I did and I love it now.

I use this FM transmitter for a while now and i really like it. I don't need to hear those commercial on the radio and listen to the music I like. As for the static, I found out that 87.6 FM is working perfectly for me, and it has minimal static on this frequency.

What about the static in this gadget? Because, I have been using another FM transmitter and the static was terrible in the big cities. So i decided not to use it at all.

I use this FM transmitter with an 8G iPod Nano. I believe that it is the best FM transmitter I have ever used. It's very simple to control the iPod FM Transmitter and it works fine. I rarely hear the static and it is not very loud.
I find it perfect to use when I travel somewhere far, because you don't have any idea what stations are there. So I can easily listen to the music I love with no commercials and no static and no talking of those Radio DJs.
