One-handed Xbox 360 controller from Ben Heck

Apr 18, 2007
Ben Heck is continuing amazing us with its creations and his imagination. Now he has created a one-handed Xbox 360 controller. Ben has done it for a serviceman that got injured in Iraq. Well, everybody wants to have fun, doesn't matter if they have lost their hand.

What would you do to make a controller one-handed? Ben has moved all the buttons from right side to the bottom of the gadget controller under the fingers of the left hand. Although he had to move the batteries compartment to the right side but it is not that difficult.

Let us see how he did that: Ben placed the four right-thumb buttons at the middle finger, the right bumper he has placed at the ring finger. The right trigger was placed at the pinky. The left trigger was placed at the index finger. To be even more comfortable gadget the controller's left stick is placed on an extension that stays on your leg or any other surface to support the controller. So this is how you control all the buttons on the controller with only one hand.

The other nice thing about the modified controller is that it can still rumble. These gadget controllers will be very popular because they can not only be used by injured people but a normal person can use them. I think that it is comfortable because your right hand is free, for example when you eat, drink etc.

Very soon we might see these controllers in mass production, we hope so. However, before that happens all you got to do is order one from Ben Heck.

Stop jerking people around Ben, either you have created a one handed controller for the xbox 360 or you haven't , its been 2yrs talking about the same controller and not one on the market anywhere .
Here's a great idea Ben what blueprints you have of this controller just sell them to Japan or China and i bet you they will a controller out on the market in less than a year.

Hi Ben,
My son has just had his left arm amputated due to cancer. Do you do a right-handed controller and is it available to puchase.
