Use Xbox 360 controller to play PlayStation 3?

What controller would you prefer: the Xbox 360 one or PS3 one? It seems that more people like Xbox's controller more because it is more comfortable to hold. So Ben Heck has modified the controller so it is more comfortable to use when you play PlayStation 3.

What he did is he took apart all the innards from the PlayStation 3 controller and made the Xbox 360 controller work with PS3. So now he has a SIXAXIS-stuffed Xbox controller. He has his own secrets of how he has done it. The fact is that now if you really want it you can get an Xbox 360 controller gadget to play with PlayStation 3.

If you really like the shape of Xbox 360 controller but you want to be able to play PlayStation 3 you can get the controller from Ben Heck. There is no information on how much that could cost but it would certainly be a cool gadget.

The question that I have is: what PlayStation fan will change the PlayStation controller to the Xbox 360 one, and what Xbox 360 fan will buy a Sony PlayStation console? So I think it is somewhat useless.

(Google It) He makes the 360 controller for the PS3 and he ALSO MAKES THE PS3 COTROLLER FOR THE 360. So whichever way you want it, he can make it. HOWever, he charges $750 USD per controller. :-(

He turned it into a PS3 vs 360 thing instead of talking more on how well the controller worked and responded while playing PS3 games. You also have no links or info on how to make one yourself or how to get one. I am video game fan, period. I get really tired of people saying which system is better, blah blah blah.

The left triggers are useless to me and makes the it verry uncomfortable. You want to talk about cramped hands. The left joystick and D-pad are flipped and the D-pad is circular (perfect for a nub) and much more comfortable. I would like to get a PS3 for the blue ray alone but if I can play games in comfort and be able to use all the controler features then thats awesome. I hope it's not too much $$.

I have started from PlayStation many years ago and got used to its controller. So It is a very difficult question which one is the most comfortable. The PS3s "trigger" cant even be called that, its just another button. The controllers are made for asians with tiny hands. They are much less ergonomic than microsofts. The xbox's controls are just plain better.

If you get sore hands by playing the PS controller for many hours than you must have FAT hands and this is a sign of lack of exercising or your too WEAK and need to work in the gym a bit more.

A lot of people, myself included, are buying PS3s for the Blu-ray capabilities, while the 360's HD-DVD standard is being dropped by the industry like a brick and making it look like another 'Betamax' scenario...just look at the prices of the HD-DVD drives and disks for proof...
Media playback is where the PS3 scores for me, with DIVX playback and AVCHD (HD movie files) being supported natively, with no requirement to convert to WMV format. Hard drive size is not limited to a "..retarded 60GB.." as you can easily upgrade using a standard 2.5" laptop drive up to 500GB I believe...something which Sony have not discouraged and actually provide opions for in their XMB to assist the process...unlike MS who only want you to buy one of their over-priced upgrades, limited to a 'retarded' 120GB...
Another bonus with media playback on PS3 is...its a quiet part in the film with emotions running high and listen......no noise coming from the PS3...whereas you can always hear the 360 whining in the background regardless of the volume of playback...
You're correct in that there are are differences in the way each console handles games, with the 360 playing 'on-the-fly' against PS3's slightly annoying installation times. I've just sold my 360 and replaced with the PS3 and tbh I prefer the PS3's load times rather than the persistant whistling noise of the 360's noisy drive spinning all the time, sounding like a helicopter taking off...oh - and the PS3 doesn't lock-up when it gets a bit warm like my 360 did nearly everytime...we won't even mention reliability..!
So in summary a Blu-Ray/Media player for sub-�300 which can also play some pretty decent games when you fancy is now my choice of console. I'm not writing this from a 'fanboys' point of view, as I still think the 360 has a lot going for it, particularly the controllers which is the reason I found this thread..!
Time to find an affordable 360 style gamepad for my PS3...

then get a ps2 to ps3 adaptor
