Optimus has designed a new keyboard but it is not quite ready yet. Well, where were all waiting for that cool keyboard with OLED keys. Too few companies have started producing something like this. Now Optimus will soon present its creation. Keyboard with OLED displays on the keys is the new creation.The first question that comes across is how they are going to call this gadget. Actually it is Optimus 103 model and it has got the name of Optimus Maximus. A cool name for an advanced keyboard, isn't it?
The keys are OLED displays and you supposedly can program what they display. The keys are expected to work for 5 years; however it will certainly depend of use of the keyboard. Plastic caps on the top of the keys are supposed to protect the display. So you will not actually break the keys or the display itself.
However, if you are going to break any keys or you will let you children play with it and they break a key you will be able to replace it. It will certainly cost you a bit; $ 10 for a key. Besides, there are no spear keys in the set. So if something like this happens you will have to buy keys.
The OLED displays will have the resolution of 32 x 32 pixels and will be able to display letters and numbers the way you want them to display. However, the resolution is not that high and the icons might look weird.
The cost is one of the biggest problems nowadays. The price of this gadget keyboard has grown from announced $ 1,200 to $ 1,490. We think if it will grow further or not. It is not coming out yesterday so things might change until Optimus releases its keyboard.
If you think that the keyboard is a bit pricey you might buy a cheaper one that would have less programmable keys for less money. However, it will not make you the toughest guy on the block. Make conclusions and decisions. The pre ordering starts in April and the first keyboards will be delivered to you in November or December.
