The computers will now know what you are thinking about with a new gadget made by a German Company g.tec. The company has created a kit that literally reads your thoughts. Cool, huh?I always wanted to play games not using any mice or keyboards I just wanted to do it like in real world. Do everything with the power of my mind. I think that most people would love the idea of controlling the computer especially games using only your thoughts.
G.tec has created "ready - to - go" BClsys Brain-Computer interface kit that allows you to play simple games with no joysticks. The only thing you need to do is to put on a special hat with some wires attached. The wires are plugged into the box and you can play some simple games like pong. It is not wireless though but free hands give you more freedom.
This gadget comes with a P300 devise that adds a pretty good feature to the set. This set can spell the words that you are thinking of. With a little training it will be able to read your thoughts and display the words that you are thinking of on the screen. However, you will not be able to do that fast because it needs about 20 "flashes" in order to read your thoughts. We wonder if this thing will be accurate in "guessing" the words you are thinking of.
So actually it can do this thing but very slow. So do not through your keyboard away there is no gadget that can display your thoughts faster then a QWERTY keyboard. Besides, you will not be able to play any serious games on it soon. It actually comes only with one game: Pong.
The "ready - to - go" Brain Computer interface kit is not for commercial sales, and very few people are going to try this thing on. However, this is a small step forward in the technology of reading our thoughts. Maybe in a few tens of years we will be able to communicate with people without saying a word.
No info on how much it will cost and where you can get them but there will be not many of them. Besides the only game that comes with it is Pong. Not much fun after an hour's play although you can play it with somebody else.
