It has two modes of recording. You can set it to record video or it can just take many pictures continuously. Besides, you can set the recording interval which can be 10 sec, 5 sec, 3 sec, to 1/8 sec. The picture quality is pretty high for a device like this. The Resolution can be 640 x 480 or 320 x 240 depending on the quality you set. Besides, it can shoot at night and it supports functions like AES, AWB and AGC.
Playback
You set this gadget in your car or anywhere around the house for the night and it records if detects any motion in its range. By the way you can set the level of the sensitivity of the motion detector. Then all you need to do to see what it had recorded is plug it into your TV or VCR and it will show you what was happening during the night or while you were away. It supports the PAL and the NTSC systems and it will work with any TV or VCR. In order to watch the video on your TV you can use the buttons that are placed on its side. It has all the buttons you might need for playback: Play, Pause, Step Forward and Step Rewind, Fast Forward, Fast Rewind.
