Smart T-shirt for the sportsmen

Jul 16, 2006
The clothing of the future will have more functions then usual clothing today. It is going to fit you perfectly thanks to new technologies and it will keep track of your body's health. Moreover, clothes like this will be accessible very soon.

The Sensatex Company has already created the Smart Shirt System T-shirts that have all these features built in. This T-shirt has several sensors built in and it will be able to send information about your health to a computer or special receivers that will read the data and show you the information.

This gadget will use the new ZigBee wireless technology to send data to the computer. There are sensors like pulse sensor, breath sensor, temperature sensor etc. that will keep track of you body's movements. Besides, there is nanotechnology involved in this T-shirt so you can wash you T-shirt and not worry about damaging the expensive equipment. I think that this T-shirt will be useful for sportsmen to see how much harder they can push on their trainings.

It will be also useful for soldiers and sick people to keep them aware if their life is in danger. I am going to buy one of these T-shirts because I like hi-tech things especial when they are integrated into such a thing as a T-shirt. We will be able to buy this T-shirt in a year and it will be cool to wear one.

I believe that this would be great for patients in ICU and other forms of medical care. Monitoing ones vitals without the wires and things hanging around would make things alot easier for the patient and the people taking care of them. Clean would be another issue as well as cost.
