Not so long ago we wrote about new unannounced yet smartphone from Nokia with QWERTY keyboard. Motorola tried to not fall behind its competitor, and officially announced its own QWERTY slider, named Motorola Hint QA30. After all rumors in the past several days, Motorola finally presented its new phone, which is made with text message lovers in mind. Taking in consideration, that Motorola rarely releases something new nowadays, it doubles the interest to its new product.

It is one of the best smart phones in its class. However, there is another smart phone that is on the same level as the iPhone.

Nokia 5800, previously known as Tube, gained much attention because it was the first Nokia answer to Apple iPhone - not a rival, but a phone with similar looks and interface. Touchscreen thumb-controlled devices are getting more and more popular, and Nokia's first attempt in this market - Nokia 5800 release - promises to be successful one. As was announced earlier, at October 2 Nokia finally presented its first multimedia touchscreen smartphone on Symbian - Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. We dug into details, which are described below.

There are good phones and there are bad phones. And there also are expensive ones for no reasonable feature that would make sense in a mobile phone. That’s what I though about Nokia 8800 series when it came out in early December last year, had its season’s shopping craze and then, sort of, forgotten because crisis has broke out. The controls will be just like you are using a usual touchscreen like on a PDA or Communicator phone. The idea of that is great because you do not have to change the laptop itself even if you really want to get a touchscreen one.

Kyocera developers who resident in San Diego and Bangalore have gratefully shared their groundwork that incorporates mobile phone technologies of tomorrow. At the first glance the Kyocera EOS concept phone doesn’t seem to have more than seven or ten percents of parts our eyes got used to. If EOS was an end product, it wouldn’t need to be plugged for a recharge, would feature very innovative ergonomics and tactile sensations of human’s skin. All that though is achieved by technologies that are already used today but have never before been united in a mobile phone.

Yes, finally, by the end of November 2008 we now declare that Nokia 6260 Slide is now official and ready to hit the stores. Not the greatest release of the month, of course, especially on the background of Blackberry Storm which is literally hunted for there recently were not enough Blackberries for all of those who were saving their precious money for it. But Nokia 6260 was also a quite wanted gadget since mid summer when its very first spy photos appeared on the web. Release date is settled for the January 2009.
