The Honda wearable robotic walker, an innovative gadget planned to support bodyweight, helps diminish stress on the knees and presents many advantages for people who work in factories in positions that require a lot of standing and running around for deliveries. This device is also considered to be helpful for people with special health conditions such as people that suffer from arthritis, people with walking disabilities, as well as old people.
Such an appliance might seem a bit strange but the benefits it provides target people that indeed need a creative device to help reduce the physical stress they face every day.
You might wonder how it works, but it is probably a lot simpler that you think. You position the seat between your legs, put on the shoes and push the start button. The rest is just similar to the way one walks.

Probably one of the most futuristic branches of modern hi-tech are cyber gadgets that imitate form and assignment similar to human's organs or the human's body overall. Or maybe not only human's but animal's or insect's bodies. Anyway the issue is to create a robot. Why to copy a human or an animal? – because natural incarnation is the ultimate one. One of those institutions struggling to fill a common form with piece of technology is I-SWARM project. I-SWARM project is founded by EU and receives to some serious sponsor's support – all to develop a small army of robotic fleas. Their number is supposed to be at most finitely many as a thousand and what's more, they must have a collective artificial intelligence.

MIT students are again on their way to total optimization of divers and opposite paths to greater progress. Less than a month ago we were reviewing energy recovering shock absorbers also designed by a team of students from MIT and we liked a lot it’s uncompromising usefulness. Today we are taking a look at robots that came out of MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. They can no more or less take full care of a garden. AgBot from Louisiana State University could do similar stuff, but trust me on this – these are completely different leagues.

Can robots supplant human beings? Adam is a prototype of the first scientifically useful robot which proved to have its own mind. It sounds unbelievable but the new robot seems to be a real scientist with all the features it provides. Called Adam like the one created by God, this is a cutting-edge machine being built after 5 years of its development. Adam is embedded with artificial intelligence software and cost about $1 million, but it proves to be priceless with its ability to research a thousand experiments every day.

By the researches of California’s scientists a new artificial intelligence was developed. Its name is Darwin VII Robot. As they say their invention consists of 20,000 brain cells! Robot’s shape is represented as trash can. Its functionality is based on any biological developed principles. Also scientific researches of behavior of the robot are conducted and scientists learn all the actions and reactions to the environment of the robot. The remarkable capability is that robot acts without being programmed. Darwin Robot moves by the floor which is covered with blocks placed for experience. While crawling, Darwin VII tests the blocks and send in a form of report a message which describes the apprehended by its malleable mind subjects. It studies and analyses properties of the blocks revealing gradually good or bad parts. The robot goes using its special built in sensors for taste; there is a built in CCD camera which allows viewing and microphones for hearing the voices and other noises. Robot’s instincts are specialized just for experience but pretend to be developed, for example, predilection for tasting things or interest directed to bright objects. In whole Robot is made as brain-based device for the best perception and his system is based on nervous one which is inherent to man. That allows the gadget thinking like man and puts him at a high level of the latest achievements in artificial intelligence.

What you're looking at is a tiny computer (the little box the mouse is plugged into), that uses ~8 watts, running off a beach-towel-sized solar panel.
No more large-base linux robots! You could probably run this thing on D-cell batteries, and without the GUI, I bet they'll last quite a while too.
Oh yea, and they're only about \$250 (or \$120, I'm not sure if the two are exactly the same)
