HTC is launching a new smartphone from Touch series, a phone that is oriented towards entertainment functionalities. Taiwanese company HTC expands its number of Touch series smartphones with the model Touch HD a phone that combines style and design with high-end functionalities.
Being a part of a large number of Touch phones, this unit has a touchscreen with WVGA resolution (480 x 800) and a normal HTC interface, TouchFlo3D that offers fast and intuitive access to the phone functionalities.
Connectivity of Touch HD includes GSM/EDGE, 3G with HSDPA, WiFi 802.11g and A-GPS in addition with Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR. The phone includes a 5 Mp camera and a secondary frontal VGA camera for video calls.
Other characteristics are internal memory of 512 MB ROM and 288 MB RAM, support for microSD cards, 3,5 mm audio jack. Battery offers 6,5 hours of 3G calls, or 2 hours for video calls.
HTC Touch HD will be commercial in Europe in the forth quarter.
