The producers insist on that in such way combinations of keys may be performed much faster, and that APM (Actions-Per-Minute) increases significantly. Life time of SteelSeries 7G keyboards is also at least 10 times longer than simple keyboards have: 50 million operations in comparison with 1-5 million operations.
In plus SteelSeries 7G allows to perform many combinations at the same time thanks to a new buffer PS/2 system, which was created specially for games. For example in a shooter game, the gamer can creep and shoot, or recharge the gun and see the score simultaneously.
