EETI solderless touchscreen for Acer Aspire One, Eee PC 900 & 901 netbooks

Nov 03, 2008
As we face an unseen demand on notebooks and a steady growing demand on netbooks, there are lots and lots of laptop gadgets every day that appear, find their devoted users and skeptic critics, and either remain for long or are forgotten in no time. The latest one among netbook gadgets had a long future as far as it is seen. EETI is a company that has recently put up for sale its new device. The device is a solderless touchscreen for Acer Aspire One, Eee PC 900 and Eee PC 901 netbooks. The price was shrank into 100 USD – 96 USD. Usually this sum of money would be equal to one third part of price of a typical netbook, or may be a quartrer. Quite a pricy toy anyway.

A smartphone with a touchscreen is a great thing because it is small enough to operate it with your first finger and hold the smartphone in the same hand. Some fairly say that they don't find any need to make a netbook with a touchscreen because user's hands will probably get tired soon and the screen itself will get dirty, etc. But there is a serious plus in this case. If EETI have maid their screen a multi-touch one, it will be surely wanted for office use more than for private usage, but why not, if you like it of course. So, EETI solderless touchsreen for Acer Aspire One, Eee PC 900 and Eee PC 901 netbooks hasn't yet gave up it's secret about multi-touch abilities, which is important also because upcoming Windows 7 has the advantage of its multi-touch abilities.

EETI solderless touchsreen is also compatible with Windows XP and Vista, Mac OS and Linux. Buying this device you also get three extra USB 2.0 ports for your USB gadgets, a stylus, finger tips and a CD with all the drivers you might need. EETI has contended that touchscreen's response time is under 10 miliseconds and high transmittance is above 85 percents. Nice results for the first generation of solderless touchsreens. Let's see how many users they will attract.
