Clocky

Jan 21, 2008
Remember yourself playing Hide-and-Sick in your childhood? It was fun, wasn't it? Do you think that this game has still kept its joy? Try to play this game with the gadget called Clocky. No, it is not a new playmate, it is your new alarm clock available in two colors, aqua and almond white.

Do you wonder how the game begins? You set up the clock by pushing the adjustable snoozer timer button. Then the alarm clock begins to beep in a random pattern and its screen starts to flash. The Clocky is going to beep only once before running away, searching for a place to hide. In case you are still sleeping, be sure the fun had begun.

This cute gadget sees no obstacles and moves easy on wood or carpet. It doesn't have a special place to hide, so you will have to look for it under the bed, table, behind the door or down the stairs.

If you want to defeat this object, you can disable the device's wheels but its bleeping will still drive you crazy. If you are still incapable of getting out of your warm morning bed, then this comical coercion is just what you need.

i was initially excited when i got this as a birthday gift, the concept is ingenious... but this garbaget just proved to be another example of successful advertising supporting a subpar product.

the biggest fail about this clock is the choice of powersupply. not only was the battery cover difficult to remove and replace, using four new recharged batteries, the clocky was annoying for an average of about five minutes... before the batteries died... assuming the average, lazy sleeper who hits snooze alot, five minutes is not a long time before you have to replace the batteries. it's unfortunate that the engineers didn't take this into account.
