The floor of CES has brought forth some interesting snapshots of the new Google Talk. Google is expected to release a new version soon which will have buddy icon ability and will be interoperable with AOL's AIM service (see photos here).

Space.... the final frontier
I always loved visiting the planetarium as a kid, with the SkyScout, the planetarium comes home with you! Includes software, USB connectivity, and SD slot expandability so that the fun is virtually endless. Even though no price is set, I'm putting one of these on my wish list and you can see it at CES in Las Vegas if you are able to make it.

PSP Camera at Play-Asia
Remember back in 2004 when photos were snapped at CES of the PSP camera accessory? The blogosphere and gamers alike were all alight with anticipation - at the time the idea of having a camera on your PSP was more exciting than words could say. Why Sony hasn't released the PSP camera here in the states is beyond me, but thank heavens for Play-Asia.

JVC unveils media monster
Touted to be the largest ever consumer TV to date, you get a massive 1103 diagonal viewing area that is way larger than Panasonics 1033 plasma TV which was paraded at CES 2007 earlier this year in Las Vegas. Not only that, the HD110-MH80 also surpasses Sharps 1083 LCD behemoth, giving the owner of this HDTV bragging rights for the moment - at least until a 1203 version is released sometime down the near future.

NewerTech Releases First MacBook/MacBook Pro Battery Charger Ever
The problem we had with buying a whole bunch of backup laptop batteries for CES and liveblogging was that we could only charge them inside the laptops themselves. This means waking up in the middle of the night and swapping batteries, which totally ruins snuggling time with Travis and Mark.

From the department of redundancy department, Microvision has announced today that they will be unveiling (announcing) a prototype miniature digital projector at CES next week. This projector is small (see picture above) and is designed to fit in handheld electronic device such as cellphones, PDAs or other multimedia gadgets.

XM kicks out CommanderMT for your ride, supports Mini-Tuner
Possibly designed for folks looking to keep their existing head unit but add XM capabilities, the unit can be flush-mounted permanently if you're down with keeping the same tuner for the life of your vehicle.
