Mobile Phone Blocking Bag

Jan 16, 2008
"The number you are trying to reach is momentary unavailable, please try again later". This is the phrase we all hate to hear, but sometimes we find it very useful. Do you feel the need to become unreachable to everybody in this world? Do you have an important meeting or conference or do you simply need some silence?

There is no need to turn the phone off, you just need to pop the cell phone into a magic bag and no calls will get through.

This gadget is the mobile phone signal blocking bag. It looks as a common cell bag and will fit any phone as its dimensions are - 104*93*4mm.

It does not matter what network you use. The blocking bag blocks all mobile phone signals and all frequencies worldwide.

There are some places where I not only would like to have my phone turned off but I would also like to make sure it's really not communicating at all. This bag is very useful.
I have an Iphone I can't remove it's batter so I can't trust that it's off. Really off.

While many of you think that this product is useless, there are people like me, who think that this bag is the best thing since sliced bread! Why? My company tracks me through "GPS". The system uses cell phone triangulation to determine your position. No signal..no position. Turning the phone off will result in a notification being immediatly sent to my boss, and turning off the "GPS" on the phone will do likewise. If your "out of a signal", your out of sight!

Not useful. BTW many phones (e.g. Nokia) have Offline profile, that switch off all transmissions (radio, bluetooth...)

Not a new gadget though, most of the Oil and Gas companies, when transporting personnel by chopper to offshore sites, they collect the cell phones and drop them in a similar bag instead of trusting the the passengers are turning off their mobiles .. in a meeting .. i dont think so ,, to convince your wife that there were no signal while you are in the bar with the friends or even getting intimate with your co-worker .. great solution :)

Interesting idea, wouldn't it just be easier to turn your phone off though? It doesn't look too attractive

That isn't true Trudi, cell phones update the nearest tower connection at a set interval. It won't use any more energy than before, aside from an out of range tone if it has one, and possibly an onscreen animation to tell you that it is searching for the nearest tower.

i can understand where they're coming from. some people are required by occupation to keep connected to their work places. the most popular method by which is cell phone. on some carriers, you hear a different message if the phone is switched off as opposed to out of reach. and boss hates it when you switch it off..i hate the boss!

This is possibly the most pointless phone-related product ever released. Last time I checked, every cell phone on earth included a "power button" that provides all the "silence" a user could want.

Nice, but then the battery will decrease drastically as the cell phone will always try to reconnect to an antenna...
