This all has started at Australia where guys from SmartHouse who sniffed that there already exists a working OLED-faced netbook made in Taiwan by LG for Apple. Then ChannelNews claimed that Apple paid LG no less than three hundred million pounds for the research and development of OLED technology for their range of products. By the way there might be another gadget from Apple if they like the fruits of the cutting edge screens sold to individuals. It will be a self-standing display with wireless connection to what you prefer. What’s about iPhone and iPod - there is not much information on how they will be designed or sized, except for the fact that they’ll have thinner, brighter, faster and more economical display with a very wide viewing angle. Strangely though, we have an interesting particularity on how the development process is going on. It is said by LG that they have an issue with heavy finger prints. The solution they say is an extra layer over screen.
Just as a preview of when Apple is going to show the new iPhone, iPod and the netbook, I’d say autumn of ’09 would very optimistic. Just remember that iPhone 2.2 firmware was prepared a couple of months ago. Since 3.0 will be finished in summer, it should also stay for no less than three or four months.
