Functionality and usefulness are not the only criteria used by people while buying something. For instance some love unusual and strange designs; moreover sometimes the fact that a thing seems to be unusual is enough for them to make decision about buying it. In case you are just the same person, you will probably like this gadget that was designed by Ralph Nauta and Lonneke Gordijn (Dutch design studio Drift).
It represents an extremely unusual chair. Designers have conjured up some pretty attractive spirits and eternally captured them for you in a glass chair. The “Ghost” chair is “a futuristic concept of a chair, 3-dimensionally captured within the boundaries of reality.” It will be on display at the Salone del Mobile in Milan from 16th – 21st April 2008.
Gadget looks really great; yet, taking into consideration the material it's made of, most likely it's very uncomfortable. Moreover it will be better if you do not sit on it at all. Thus it was probably designed not to serve as a chair but as an aesthetic addition to your interior.
